Community Involvement

Armadillo Automotive Supports Amelia Through Community Cookoff
At Armadillo Automotive, we believe in giving back to our community. We recently took part in the 19th Annual Crawfish Cookoff to support five-year-old Amelia, who was diagnosed with DIPG, a rare and aggressive brain cancer. Led by our founder, Shawn Vamvoras, our “Heads or Tails” cooking team proudly took home second place with our Crawfish Boil Eggrolls. More importantly, we were honored to help raise funds for Amelia’s medical care and show our commitment to making a difference beyond the garage.
We Helped Build a Lasting Tribute: The Rainbow Bridge Memorial
At Armadillo Automotive and Powder Coating, we were honored to contribute to the creation of the Rainbow Bridge Memorial in Lafreniere Park, Metairie. This heartfelt structure serves as a tribute to beloved pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, allowing owners to attach collars and tags in their memory. Our role involved applying a durable, weather-resistant powder-coated finish to ensure the bridge withstands Louisiana’s climate and remains a lasting symbol of love and remembrance. The memorial also honors Macho, a Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office K-9 who died in the line of duty, whose collar was the first placed on the bridge. We take pride in supporting this meaningful community project that offers comfort and healing to pet lovers across the region .

Colorful Support: Armadillo Automotive and Hogs for the Cause
We proudly partnered with Hogs for the Cause, a renowned fundraiser dedicated to pediatric cancer outreach. Utilizing our expertise in powder coating, we transformed tent markers and awards into vibrant symbols of hope and support for the event. This collaboration not only enhanced the visual appeal of the fundraiser but also embodied our commitment to community involvement and making a meaningful impact beyond automotive services.
